Minneapolis, MN – day three

Similar day to the day before. Baseball and beer! Not a bad day.

We took the free shuttle up the Nicollet Mall and then walked through the downtown area to Day Block Brewing.

It was 11am and Day Block had just opened. I gotta say that I wasn’t impressed with their selection of beers. They only had about 6 available brews and none of them sounded good to me. I had the Golden Strong witch was a Belgian Strong Pale Ale. It just wasn’t my kind of brewery. I’m sure this brewery fits other people’s palates better.

About 6 blocks away was Town Hall Brewing so how could we not make the trip to visit them too? I enjoyed their beers much better and the bartender there was a very helpful guy. I had a great IPA named Masala Mama and hubby had a Chocolate Porter that was super good. We also ate lunch there and were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was.

We didn’t want to miss the beginning of the game so we took a taxi instead of walking to Target Field. We pretty much had the same great seats as the day before along the 3rd base line.

Yankee won 9 to 7!

Since we loved Fulton Brewing so much we stopped back by for one more beer! We had to get back to the hotel early since we had to get up at 4:30am to start our next adventure in the Boundary Waters. We ate at a local Mexican restaurant near our hotel and then headed back for bed. Our hotel had a great fireplace! I could have sat here all night!
